Renewal services do not require proof of marriage. They have no legal standing.
They are for the couple (or couples) to celebrate their marriage and remind each other of their wedding vows. Traditional renewals do require a minister
to lead the service. "Elvis" renewals can be performed by the Elvis tribute artist and do not require a minister.
